Take up space, follow your curiosity, and discover the beauty of movement with silk fans. Join performer and instructor Amara Sky for a silk fan workshop that brings together movement, creativity, and a little play.
You’ll learn the basics of handling silk fans, building comfort with grips, sweeping patterns, and fluid transitions while exploring how simple movements can create beautiful visual effects. From there, we’ll explore how pace, and intention can transform a simple movement into a powerful expression.
You’ll bring what you’ve learned into a short choreography, with opportunities to experiment and add your own style. Give yourself permission to try something new, get a little tangled, and enjoy the process of finding your flow.
Beginner-friendly and open to all levels.
No prior silk fan experience is required.
Practice fans will be available to use during the workshop. And if you fall in love, fans will be available for purchase so you can keep the flow going at home!
